There are two types of Brockhage practice locks: with and without spool.

The pin is the pin that is connected with the spring. In order the lock to be turned, this pin needs to be pushed upwards. A normal pin is rectilinear.

A spool pin is a cylinder that can be rotated, so the lock can be turned less easy. Therefore, a spool pin is more difficult to turn.
