Today, the Bump key phenomenon is already  discussed in the entire lock pick world and even in many television programmes. The bump key is specially crafted to be used in lock bumping, which is a lock picking technique for opening a pin tumbler lock. A bump key must correspond with the target lock in order to function correctly. Bumping the key inward forces it deeper into the keyway. The specially designed teeth of the bump key transmit a slight impact force to all of the bottom pins in the lock. The key pins transmit this force to the driver pins; the key pins stay in place. This process works on the principle of action and reaction, according to Newton’s third law.
